PURPOSE: A white balance adjusting device and a method thereof are provided to improve expressiveness for face skin colors when a face image is included in an image photographed in a complex light source. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(110) recognizes a face image from an image photographed through a camera unit(140). The control unit compares a white balance gain calculated by using a face skin color of the face image with a white balance gain calculated by using a general white balance method. If the image is photographed in a complex light source, the control unit adjusts the white balance of the photographed image as a final white balance gain extracted by a gap between two white balance gains.
