PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode having improved input/output characteristic, as well as a nonaqueous electrolyte battery and a battery pack.

SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an electrode including a current collector and an active material layer formed in the current collector is provided. The active material is 0.4 V(vs.Li/Li+) or more in Li occlusion potential. It has a first peak having a mode diameter of 0.01 μm and over to and including 0.1 μm, and a second peak having a mode diameter of over 0.2 μm to and including 1 μm in a pore size distribution by a mercury press-in method. Its cubic volume of pores by a mercury press-in method is 0.1 mL and over to and including 0.3 mL per g of electrode weight (except the weight of the current collector).
