<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which since an image of an object included in imaged data is distorted according to passing speed of the object, accuracy of matching of the object with template data and recognition accuracy of the object are reduced, in an object recognition system for recognizing the object using the imaged data of the object, obtained with an imaging device, such as a line sensor or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An object recognition part 34 changes the size of an image of an object included in imaged data obtained by imaging devices 1, 2, according to speed of the object detected by a speed detection part 32, and the imaged data after the change is matched with template data, to recognize the object.
