<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of image quality of an image to be printed, in bidirectional printing or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This printing apparatus prints an image by forming dots on a print medium in accordance with dot data generated by comparing gradation values of respective pixels with respective threshold values of a dither mask. The printing apparatus performs formation of the dots by dividing the dots into at least first and second pixel groups having different print conditions, and performs at least a part of the formation of the dots by the first and second pixel groups in a common region. When cockling easily occurs, printing is performed by using a dither mask for restraining color difference of the image as compared with when cockling hardly occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
