<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reliable determination of failure of a multiplexer. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating cooker comprises: a top pate 2 provided on a top face of a body 1 and including a plurality of placement parts 3; heating coils 25 provided under respective placement parts 3; inverter means 100 supplying high frequency power to the heating coils 25; infrared sensors 17 provided under the placement parts 3, which are temperature sensors each detecting infrared beams emitted from a pan 30; temperature sensors 15 provided under and in contact with the top plate 2 at the placement parts 3 and each composed of a thermistor detecting a temperature of the pan 30; control means 118 controlling power supplied to the heating coils 25 on the basis of temperature information of the temperature sensors; and a plurality of multiplexers 102 inputting temperature information sent from the plurality of temperature sensors 150 to the control means 118 by switching the temperature information on the basis of output information from the control means 118.
