<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for secondary battery and a secondary battery, which can ensure durability of a tab part and further reduce a dead space of the secondary battery to realize improved volume energy density. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode 10 for the secondary battery includes an active material layer 12 in which an active material is applied on a metal collector plate 11. An active material unapplied part 13 is provided adjacent to an entire area of the active material layer 12 on one side of the collector plate 11, and cuts 15 including: a first part 15a extending along a direction where a border 14 between the active material layer 12 and the active material unapplied part 13 extends; and a second part 15b continuously formed to the first part at one end thereof and reaching an end of one side in the collector 11 at the other end, are formed on the active material unapplied part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
