<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal and an information display method capable of obtaining data of a floor map with ease and with low cost, without a need of an exclusive infrastructure facility for accessing an external server on a network. <P>SOLUTION: A camera 8 captures a floor map provided in a facility. An image content reading part 10 reads a mark included in an image of the captured floor map and outputs image information and information on the mark. A current place-orientation-scale calculation part 11 determines a current place, an orientation and a scale according to the image information and the information on the mark, and generates display information according to the current place, the orientation and the scale thus determined.
