Provided is a vehicular electric drive apparatus in which an electric motor is connected to a drive wheel in a power-transmittable manner, the vehicular electric drive apparatus such that only a required amount of oil can be supplied. A dual clutch (14) and an electric motor (MG) housed in a first housing chamber (21) are supplied with oil discharged from an oil pump (35). Thus, lack of oil supply to the dual clutch (14) and the electric motor (MG) can be prevented. Meanwhile, a reduction gear mechanism (16) housed in a second housing chamber (23) requires only an amount of oil for lubrication and does not require a large amount of oil, and is therefore lubricated by an oil supply mechanism of oil scooping-up type which is separately installed. Thus, only required amounts of oil can be supplied to the respective housing chambers, so that improved fuel economy can be achieved. |
