<p>According to this invention, a desired fragment is recovered in a reliable manner using a simple device and operation from a segment of a biological tissue. Provided is a cell sorting device (1) for collecting, from a segment (X) of a tissue affixed onto the front surface of a substrate (2) partitioned into a plurality of small pieces by predetermined division lines, a fragment cut away together with a small piece along the predetermined division lines; wherein the cell sorting device is provided with: a support section (4) for supporting a sheet member (3) to which the rear surface of the substrate (2) has been bonded; a needle member (5) having needle ends; and a movement mechanism (6) for holding the needle member (5) on the other side of the sheet member (3) from the substrate (2) so that the needle ends are oriented towards the sheet member (3) and moving the needle member forwards with respect to the orientation of the needle ends; at least two needle ends being arranged within a range narrower than one end surface of the small piece on substantially identical planes that intersect the longitudinal direction of the needle member (5).</p> |
