HYBRID MODE HORIZONTAL ELECTRIC FIELD TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A hybrid mode in-plane electric field LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to form a horizontal electric field within a pixel area by using a structure combining an IPS(Information Provider System) mode and an FFS(Fringe Field Switching) mode. CONSTITUTION: A lower pixel electrode and a lower common electrode(COM) are separated in a first gap and include a rod shape of a first line width within a pixel area. A passivation layer(PAS) covers the lower common electrode and the lower pixel electrode. An upper common electrode(COM) and an upper pixel electrode are arranged between the lower pixel electrode and the lower common electrode and include the rod shape of a second line width. The lower common electrode or a vertical unit(PV) of the lower pixel electrode is overlapped with the common electrode in order to form sub-capacitance(STG).
