Provided are a power on self test information output method, a virtual machine manager and a processor. The method comprises: after receiving trigger information generated by a BIOS program after the BIOS program runs a preset virtual mode trigger instruction, a virtual machine manager starting and monitoring a processor, the processor being a processor entering the virtual mode after receiving the trigger information of the BIOS program; after monitoring that the processor generates an exit instruction, obtaining power on self test information of the BIOS program after the BIOS program executes a power on self test operation, the exit instruction being generated by the processor entering the virtual mode after the processor determines that the power on self test operation executed by the BIOS program satisfies a preset trigger event; outputting the power on self test information to a serial port. The embodiment of the present invention implements the output of the power on self test information without setting any main board fault diagnosis card, thereby saving device resources; moreover, no manual control operation is required, and the operation is simple.
