<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet demands for shortening the start-up time of a light emitting element drive circuit and speeding up of APC operation. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting element drive circuit includes: a light emitting element; a driving part having a control terminal and driving the light emitting element according to electrical potential of the control terminal; a node connecting with the control terminal; a monitor monitoring an amount of emission light of the light emitting element; a control part controlling the electrical potential of the node so that the amount of the emission light of the light emitting element gets close to a target value; and an assisting control part assisting the control of the electrical potential of the node, which is performed by the control part, when a difference between the amount of the emission light of the light emitting element and the target value is larger than a reference amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
