<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when the processing time required for inspection process becomes long, a subsequent sheet may be conveyed to a unit that performs the inspection process before inspection process on one sheet is completed and when inspection process is desired to be performed on the subsequent sheet, it is necessary to stop conveyance of the subsequent sheet once and the throughput of the printing process is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The printing speed concerning printing process is controlled based on inspection resolution when inspection process specified by a user is performed.
