<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article which is obtained from a liquid crystalline polymer composition containing a liquid crystalline polymer and a magnetic filler, and has excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties, and to provide a method for producing the liquid crystalline polymer composition. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the liquid crystalline polymer composition includes: using a melt-kneading extruder provided with a cylinder and a screw positioned within the cylinder, supplying (A) a liquid crystalline polymer and (B) a magnetic filler obtained by subjecting a composite material comprising a ceramic powder and a soft-magnetic metal powder to thermal processing in an inert gas atmosphere, to the cylinder via the supply port in the cylinder, and melt-kneading the components (A, B); and cooling a kneaded product extruded via a nozzle of the melt-kneading extruder to the exterior of the extruder at a cooling rate of ≤60°C/s.
