TANTALUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tantalum electrolytic capacitor which reduces the equivalent series resistance while ensuring the strength of a cathode terminal.

SOLUTION: A tantalum electrolytic capacitor 10 includes: a capacitor element 12; an anode terminal 14; and a cathode terminal 16. The capacitor element 12 includes an element body 22 having a tantalum sintered body 20 and a tantalum wire 24 having a protruding part 26 protruding from the element body 22. The anode terminal 14 connects with the protruding part 26 of the tantalum wire 24. Further, the cathode terminal 16 houses the element body 22 and is formed into a box body having an opening 34 from which the protruding part 26 is led out. The cathode terminal 16 is bonded to an outer surface 22A of the element body 22 by a conductive adhesive 40.
