<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a decrease in print quality caused by a decrease in brightness of an organic EL array in a printing apparatus using the organic EL array for an exposure head exposing a photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: a light-emitting device array (21) where a plurality of light-emitting devices (211) are arrayed; and the photoreceptor (15) which moves in a direction perpendicular to an array direction of the light-emitting devices, wherein the photoreceptor is exposed by light emitted by the light-emitting devices based on the data of a print image in response to the movement of the photoreceptor. The light-emitting device array includes the light-emitting devices of the number greater than the number of pixels of a single line of the print image so as to shift the position of the light-emitting devices emitting in accordance with the data of the single line of the print image to the array direction of the light-emitting devices in a period in which exposure of the photoreceptor is halted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
