<p>The invention relates to a mechatronic equipment for dynamically determining the force of resistance to compression exerted upon the crystals of extra-hard materials. According to the invention, the equipment comprises a worm gearmotor (1), located inside a frame (11), wherefrom there start two driving belts (4 and 4'), which drive a compression mechanism, consisting of some fixed and mobile rollers (2 and 2'), which rotate in opposing directions, exerting a compression upon some crystals of extra-hard materials, introduced into the slot between the two rollers (2 and 2') by means of a vibrating plate (3) with more baffle plates and a funnel (3'), the compression which may lead to the breaking of some crystals, due to the adjustment of the mobile roller (2'') fastened on a mobile slide (5), at a certain distance from the fixed roller (2), by means of a screw (7) with micrometric adjustment, the slide (5) being in direct contact with a force transducer (6), whose electric signals represent the forces of resistance to compression exerted by the controlled crystals, said signals being transmitted to a signal amplifier (8), connected to an acquisition board (9), wherefrom the output signals are taken over and processed by a computer (10), there being obtained the average force of resistance to compression of the tested lot of crystals made of extra-hard materials, said value being used by the human operator for placing the tested lot of crystals into the corresponding hardness group.</p> |
