<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To navigate and relate different protocol levels of a protocol. <P>SOLUTION: A test and measurement apparatus comprises a protocol response type visual navigation apparatus, which can facilitate analyzing, searching, and measuring various aspects of different protocol layers and cross-correlating items from one protocol layer to another protocol layer. A type and characteristics of analysis is informed to a user according to the selected protocol layer.
