摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a journal bearing device which can secure shaft stability and prevent erosion that is highly likely to be caused by high-peripheral speed. <P>SOLUTION: A bipartite journal bearing is configured of an upper half bearing and a lower half bearing to include a circumferential groove in the center of the lower half bearing in a bearing width direction. The terminating edge of the groove is located in a rotational direction side from a bearing load direction, and a land part is provided between the terminating edge and the horizontal surface of the lower half bearing.
