<p>Provided is a heavy duty tire configured so that the separation of a belt ply occurring on the inside of a shoulder main groove in the radial direction of the tire is prevented. A heavy duty tire comprises a carcass (6), a belt layer (7), a shoulder main groove (9), and belt cushion rubber (10). The belt layer (7) includes first to fourth belt plies (7A-7D). The outer ends (7Ae-7Ce) of the first to third belt plies (7A-7C) are located further toward the outside in the axial direction of the tire than the shoulder main groove (9). The outer end (7De) of the fourth belt ply (7D) is located further toward the inside in the axial direction of the tire than the shoulder main groove (9). The inner end (10e) of the belt cushion rubber (10) is disposed further toward the inside in the axial direction of the tire than the inner edge line (L3) of the shoulder main groove. The cross-sectional area (S) of the inner region (10A) of the belt cushion rubber (10) is in the range from 2.5 mm2 to 20 mm2, inclusive.</p> |
