PURPOSE: A method for selectively inserting an advertisement of PPL(Product PLacement) in a video and an advertisement service method are provided to expose a proper advertisement by designating an area which inserts a PPL object in the video. CONSTITUTION: An advertisement service method based on PPL information determines a position(102) of PPL and a PPL insertion action kind(104). The advertisement service method stores the same as a metadata type. Metadata is extracted from a received video. Proper PPL is inserted based on the position of the PPL and the PPL insertion action kind. The video with the PPL is exposed in a user terminal.
