<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel that is hardly damaged even in hot and humid environments. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel includes a transparent substrate, plural sensor electrodes, plural terminals, plural conductive wiring lines, and plural auxiliary wiring lines. The sensor electrodes are composed of transparent conductive members aligned and formed in a detection area on the substrate. The terminals are formed in a wiring area on the substrate so as to be connected to the outside, and each correspond to each of the sensor electrodes. The conductive wiring lines are formed in the wiring area on the substrate, and electrically connect any of the sensor electrodes with the terminal corresponding to the sensor electrode. The auxiliary wiring lines are formed in the wiring area on the substrate, and electrically connect any of the sensor electrodes with the terminal corresponding to the sensor electrode. The conductive wiring lines are made of a material having electrical resistivity lower than that of the auxiliary wiring lines. The material of the auxiliary wiring lines is less corrosive than that of the conductive wiring lines.
