<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phosphor enabling to emit light in optional color within the range from blue to green based on irradiation of near ultraviolet light. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphor is obtained by the steps of: sampling terbium chloride hexahydrate aqueous solution, cerium chloride heptahydrate, and calcium chloride each by a predetermined amount; diluting to make Ce/Ca atomic ratio 0-0.5, Tb/Ca atomic ratio 0.005-0.5, and (Tb+Ce+Ca)/Si atomic ratio 0.5-2.0 (optimum value 1.0-1.5), respectively; stirring the mixed aqueous solution for a predetermined time; quickly adding an aqueous solution obtained by diluting a sodium metasilicate aqueous solution; mixing and filtering to synthesize Ce<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>, Tb<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>activated calcium silicate hydrate; then conducting heat treatment under atmospheric pressure at 800-1,100°C (optimum value 800-950°C) for a predetermined heating time to obtain Ce<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>, Tb<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>coactivated calcium silicate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
