<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a picture display device that can display high quality images at low gradations. <P>SOLUTION: The picture display device is formed by arranging and connecting display modules 2 in matrix. Each display module 2 includes: a display panel 3; and a control unit 7 that controls a plurality of display elements 4, a display element driver 5, and a nonvolatile memory 6. The display panel 3 includes display elements 4 arranged and connected in matrix, a display element driver 5 that drives the display elements 4, and a nonvolatile memory 6 that stores correction data used for correcting variation in light intensity of emission for each pixel of the display elements 4. When the control unit 7 corrects variation in light intensity of emission for each dot of the display elements 4 by controlling the variation through correction operation, it uses the same fixed value for all of the display elements 4, instead of correction value data of the nonvolatile memory 6 when the gradation of image signal data to the display elements 4 is low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
