<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method that forms an image having high bleed prevention effect and high scratch resistance, and to provide a set of ink and a liquid composition. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording method includes: a step for applying ink containing pigment dispersed by the action of an anionic group; and a step for applying the liquid composition facilitating instability of the dispersed state of the pigment in the ink to the recording medium. The liquid composition has pH buffering ability to the ink, wherein a pH thereof is between 5.1 and 6.5 inclusively, and includes a first acid having pKa lower than the pH and a second acid having pKa higher than the pH, wherein the content (mol) of the first acid in 100 g of the liquid composition is 1.0×10<SP POS="POST">-2</SP>mmol or higher, and the content (mol) of the second acid in 100 g of the liquid composition is 1.1 times or more relative to the content (mol) of the first acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
