<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and a means which are effective, safe and inexpensive for promoting elution of radioactivity from vegetable deposits and immobilizing the radioactivity over a long period of time after capture thereof in a forest and an uncultivated field contaminated by a radioactive material in order to make a method of decontamination conducted thereafter simple. <P>SOLUTION: A considerable amount of mica debris is added to a bacterial group which decomposes vegetable deposits and converts them into leaf mold, or livestock feces containing the bacterial group and a nutrient culture medium solution which promotes the bacterial growth. By spraying a sufficient amount of suspension to the vegetable deposits, the eluted radioactive material is immediately and stably captured and absorbed into a mica component and shifting to water veins and agricultural products in the surroundings thereof can be prevented over a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
