<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated storage and retrieval apparatus capable of minimally suppressing damage caused by an earthquake. <P>SOLUTION: In an article storage shelf 3, a plurality of stay pairs 6 composed of a pair of front and rear stays 6a, 6b juxtaposed in the shelf depth direction are erected in the shelf width direction with a space therebetween, and a storage part 2 is located between the stay pairs in the shelf width direction. There is provided a shake prediction information acquisition means for receiving shake prediction information to inform the generation of shakes caused by an earthquake. When a control means for controlling the operation of a stacker crane 5 allows the traveling operation of the stacker crane, and the shake prediction information acquisition means acquires the shake prediction information, the operation of the stacker crane is controlled so as to stop the stacker crane at a travel stop position set for each bay as earthquake countermeasures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
