<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor that notifies a user of the accurate life of the photoreceptor without using a measurement mechanism, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 2 having a surface on which an electrostatic latent image developed with a toner is formed includes a CTL layer 23 as a functional layer of the photoreceptor 2 and a UCL layer and the like as a second layer. As the CTL layer 23 is scraped off with use over time, the function as a photoreceptor is decreased, and hence a display layer 24 is provided near the boundary of the CTL layer 23 and the second layer. The display layer 24 includes fine particles 25 that has excellent charge retainability for allowing a user to recognize the life of the photoreceptor with a display on a print image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
