<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device, a monitoring method, and a program which can inexpensively monitor quality of packets in a network. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring device comprises: a flow information acquisition unit which acquires flow information that is output from a first packet transfer device and is information regarding a network flow, and which extracts, from the acquired flow information, packet number information and flow time information representing the flow time which is a reception/transmission time of packets; and a packet number estimation unit which estimates the number of passing packets which will pass through the first packet transfer device at a given elapsed time after receiving/transmitting an n-th packet (n is an integer equal to or more than one), on the basis of two pieces of flow information having different flow times extracted by the flow information acquisition unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
