Provided are a connection establishment method and user equipment. The connection establishment method comprises: second user equipment which supports device to device D2D functions acquiring first user equipment information about first user equipment which supports D2D functions; after the second user equipment determines that a connection with the first user equipment has been established, the second user equipment initiating a connection establishment process with a network-side device according to the first user equipment information, and sending the first user equipment information to the network-side device during connection establishment, so as to establish a connection between the network-side device and the first user equipment. The present invention may achieve establishing a DPS bearer between the user devices which support D2D functions, and achieve communications between the user devices which support D2D functions, which thus can achieve resource controllability by the network. |
