The invention relates to a thermal insulation housing for a refrigerator, in particular for a domestic refrigerator, having an inner wall part (3), an outer wall part (7) and an intermediate space (9) arranged in between, wherein there is provided in one of the wall parts (7) a shut-off valve (15) having a valve opening (17) for filling the intermediate space (9) with a thermally insulating foam (11) and having a non-return flap (19) which covers the valve opening (17) in a foam-tight manner in a closed position. According to the invention, the valve opening (17) is formed in a covering element (21), in particular a covering flap, which is adjustable with respect to the wall part (7).
