A system for filling a cigarette tube with tobacco, and a related method, is disclosed, the system comprising: a tobacco portion receiving chamber for receiving a portion of tobacco; a first transfer member, having a receiving area arranged to receive at least a part of a second transfer member; the second transfer member having a pushing end arranged to pass at least partially within the first transfer member and configured to displace the tobacco relative to the first transfer member; wherein the first and second transfer members are arranged to be displaceable parallel to a longitudinal axis of the tobacco portion receiving chamber, relative to the tobacco portion receiving chamber, and relative to one another, to transfer the tobacco portion from the tobacco portion receiving chamber to the cigarette tube. |
