The invention relates to cyclic peptide analogs of GLP-1 or of a GLP- -related peptide, comprising at least one enzymatically formed intramolecular lysinoalanine linkage between the side chains of two amino acids. The invention also relates to methods for the preparation of such cyclic peptide analogs and to the use thereof in therapy, for example metabolic diseases, neurological or neurodegenerative diseases and cardiovascular diseases.
