<p>This authentication device is an authentication device which performs authentication for an access request from a client terminal, and has: a storage unit; a communication unit which communicates with a client terminal; a data generation unit which in addition to generating an authentication-use character string and storing the same in a storage unit when the communication unit receives an access request from the client terminal, generates an authentication-use image in which the authentication-use character string can be identified by way of a visual illusion, and causes the communication unit to transmit to the client terminal the image data for the authentication-use image and an input request for the authentication-use character string that is included in the authentication-use image; and an authentication unit which assesses whether or not the input character string and the authentication-use character string match when the communication unit receives an input character string transmitted from the client terminal in response to the input request, and authenticates the access request from the client terminal if the input character string and the authentication-use character string match.</p> |
