PURPOSE: A light emitting apparatus is provided to include a support unit with an open portion, which lets a side of a light emitting unit exposed to the air while supporting the light emitting unit, thereby effectively releasing the heat generated by operation of the light emitting unit. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting apparatus(1) comprises a light emitting unit(10) and a support unit(20). The light emitting unit includes a light source(11) which emits light to be irradiated and a substrate(12) which is electrically connected to the light source. The support unit includes a cover part(21) and a support part(22). The support unit has a form with a side open in order to expose a side of the light emitting unit to the air. The support unit surrounds the rear(R) portion of the light emitting unit such that the light emitting unit is exposed to the direction(F) that the light is irradiated.
