A computer-implemented method includes identifying a consumable data object associated with a business process model, selecting a search area associated with the business process model to search for a reference to the consumable data object, searching within the selected search area for the at least one reference to the consumable data object, and determining at least one location of at least one data object that refers to the consumable data object.
