Provided is a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is suppressed in decrease of the capacity retention rate by forming a coating film of a more preferable mode on the surface of a negative electrode active material. This manufacturing method comprises: a step (S10) for preparing an assembly wherein an electrode body, which contains a positive electrode that is provided with a positive electrode mixture layer containing at least a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode that is provided with a negative electrode mixture layer containing at least a negative electrode active material, is contained in a battery case; a first injection step (S20) for injecting a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, which contains a specific additive, into the battery case; a preliminary charge step (S30) for forming a coating film that is derived from the additive on the surface of the negative electrode active material by charging the assembly; a second injection step (S40) for injecting a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, which does not contain a specific additive, into the battery case; and a charge/discharge step (S50) for charging and discharging the assembly to a predetermined charge/discharge voltage. |
