<p>The invention relates to a three-dimensional modular assembly and to a method for generating the assembly obtained from three-dimensional modular units of the same type or of different types in alternate arrangement, connected to one another by means of sides, faces or apexes so as to form linear, circular, spherical or other type of rigid or mobile structures, which may be used for creation and amusement games, educational activities, construction activities, indoor and urban furnishings, architectural designs and the like. The claimed assembly comprises modular units of the following types: a. type X1 with octahedron-shaped outline with virtual faces of bipyramidal type formed of a square base (a) and two rhombuses (b and c) intersected at an angle of 90° with common height, b. type X2 with octahedron-shaped outline with virtual faces of bipyramidal type formed of a common square shape base (d) and two square frames (e and f) intersected at 90° with a common diagonal c. type X3 of polyhedron shape with 8 hexagonal faces (g) joined to one another by common sides, formed of two halves (X3a and X3b) having 4 hexagonal faces (g) joined to one another by the oblique sides (l) of the upper half forming some square recesses (k), d. type X4 with polyhedron shape with 4 hexagonal faces (h) joined to one another by three common three-dimensional sides and two common oblique sides forming some triangular recesses (k'') e. type Y1 with polyhedron shape with 10 hexagonal faces (i) and sides (l) forming two semidiscoidal halves (Y1a and Y1b) joined by the corresponding sides (l), f. type Y2 with polyhedron shape with 20 hexagonal faces (j) with sides (l), formed of 4 parts with 5 hexagonal faces (j) of which two parts (Y2a) are in the shape of letter C and two parts (Y2b) are sinusoidal. The claimed method consists in generating complex modular three-dimensional assemblies connecting to one another the modular units of the types X1, X2, X3, X4, Y1 and Y2.</p> |
