The present invention relates to a transformable toy for children, and more specifically, the toy is easily assembled and disassembled such that a child can transform the toy into free shapes to create various three-dimensional structures and to continuously arouse the child's interest in the toy, particularly, the toy is safe and harmless even though children put the toy in their mouth, and thus since there are no reasons for disqualification, the invention can meet all safety standards. The transformable toy of the present invention comprises: a flexible core (10) which is made of a thin metal material; a transformable member (20) which encloses said core (10) using a high-quality cushion material; and synthetic resin-made caps (30, 40) which finish both ends of the transformable member (20), wherein protruding portions (31, 41) and groove portions (32, 42), in the caps (30, 40), respectively partitioned at equal angles in the center of a circle are repeatedly molded in a circumferential direction such that the one-sided protruding portions (31, 41) are tightly inserted into the other-sided groove portions (32, 42) to maintain a coupled state.
