<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever device for a chair which can be simply assembled and easily finely adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The lever device 23 for locking is provided with a seat outer shell 10 as well. The lever device 23 for locking has a turning type lever 25, and the lever 25 has a bag-like part 31 opened toward the seat outer shell 10. The bag-like part 31 is disposed with a lever member 29, and one end of a cable 28 is locked with the lever member 29 through a ball 28a. The bag-like part 31 and the lever member 29 are fitted to each other, and are integrally turned. The lever 25 is supported by the seat outer shell 10 so that it is turned by using a turning supporting part 32 as a supporting point. In addition, the lever 25 is provided with a regulating part 33 which is concentric with the turning supporting part 32, and the regulating part is covered by a dislocation stopping member 26 from the upper part.
