<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operation device of lock mechanism for a storage, for which assembly of an operation member, a lock-releasing member and a spring to a housing can be improved while maintaining functions such as an interlocking relation between the operation member and the lock-releasing member, and recovery force in the same manner as before. <P>SOLUTION: The operation device of such a type that the operation member 30 is actuated against the recovery force given by elasticity of the spring S and a lock mechanism for the storage is released by the actuation of the lock-releasing member 40 which interlocks the actuation of the operation member 30, includes a direction-changing part 50 in which the operation member 30 and the lock-releasing member 40 are caused to abut against each other on an inclined surface in order to change one side actuation direction to the orthogonal direction and transfer the changed direction to the other side. The direction-changing part is configured such that the operation member and the lock releasing member can be made to relatively slide along the inclined surface and can be integrally combined.
