<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head securing a launch angle larger than a loft angle through elastic deformation of a crown surface and expected to elongate a carry by reducing an amount of backspin applied to a ball. <P>SOLUTION: A sole surface forming member 17 for forming a sole surface 11 and a crown surface forming member 18 forming a crown surface 12 are provided in such a manner that joining positions 30A, 30B and 30C within an area of a side surface 14 from a toe side P1 of the head, passing a back side, to an intermediate part P4 of a heel side, falls within a range of 1/4 to 1/2 of the head height. When a ball is shot with a face surface 13, the central part of the crown surface 12 is swellingly bent to temporarily increase the loft angle, thereby enlarging the launch angle, and further, the amount of backspin is reduced by a gear effect to elongate the carry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
