This power conversion apparatus converts direct current power supplied from an external power supply and supplies the converted power to a battery (1). The power conversion apparatus is provided with: a motor (5) having multiple winding wires; a first inverter (31), which is connected to one winding wire (51) of the multiple winding wires, converts alternating current power outputted from the one winding wire (51) of the motor (5) into direct current power, and supplies the direct current power to the battery (1); and a second inverter (32), which is connected to the other winding wire (52) of the multiple winding wires, converts the direct current power supplied from an external power supply into alternating current power, and supplies the alternating current power to the other winding wire (52) of the motor (5).
