<p>A tunable optical inverter based on amplitude modulation, including a laser (1), a first optical isolator (2) and a cyclic frequency shift module (3). The cyclic frequency shift module (3) consists of an optical coupler (31), an amplitude modulator (32), an optical amplifier (33), a second optical isolator (34), a first optical circulator (35), an optical fibre Bragg grating (36), a second optical circulator (37), a tunable filter (38) and a tunable attenuator (39). The light output by the laser (1) is input into the cyclic frequency shift module (3) through the first optical isolator (2) for repeated frequency shift, then filtered by a tunable filter (310) and separated by the second optical isolator (34), and finally inverted light is output from a port (4) of the cyclic frequency shift module (3). The present inverter is compact in volume, wide in inversion range, high in inversion efficiency, and high in output power, and the optical elements thereof are few in number and hence easily integrated.</p> |
