<p>An installation method and installation device for application software, used for solving the problems of complicated operations and overcoming the great difficulty in implementation of the installation process of existing application software. The method comprises: mounting the image data of a virtual machine which is the virtual machine of the application software to be installed, the image data being mapped as a virtual disk in the local file system; updating a registry file in the virtual disk according to the registry-changing record data included in the application software pack which contains the files added or modified during the installation, the registry-changing record data and file-changing record data; updating the file structure in the virtual disk according to the file-changing record data, the added or modified files included in the application software pack during the installation, so as to achieve the installation of the application software in the virtual machine. During the installation of the application software, the user of the virtual machine does not need to perform complicated operations, which reduces the difficulty of software installation.</p> |
