The design of the engine device and the operating method thereof are based on two innovative technical solutions, the first concerning the optimal execution of the strokes (operating processes) of the engine, and the second concerning the implementation of an improved system for converting the pressure of the working gases into the rotation of the main working shaft of the engine. Concerning the optimal execution of the strokes (operating processes) of the engine, a separate "combustion-formation of a high-pressure working medium" stroke of the operating process is isolated from the combined "combustion-expansion" stroke (in traditional ICEs) in which two different operating processes occur simultaneously. This additional fifth stroke is carried out in a separate combustion chamber with a fixed volume. A novel sixth operating stroke is also added, in which water is fed into an expansion segment for conversion into steam in order to increase the quantity and pressure of the working medium. Concerning the implementation of an improved system for converting the pressure of the working gases into the rotation of the main working shaft of the engine, maximum use is made in the present invention of the lever rule, based on the geometry and dynamics of a cylindrical rotor with working vanes which is continually rotating under the pressure of the working gases. |
