摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method and a device for assessing the quality of joints between the components of parallelepipedal lightboxes made completely of acrylic glass in order to establish the tightness degree. The claimed method comprises the stages of placing and fixing the lightbox into the working device, preparing the surfaces adjacent to the joints between the components of lightboxes, drying the surface to be examined, visually examining the surface of the area to be examined, applying a penetrating agent into the tightened area, removing the penetrating agent in excess, drying the area treated with penetrating agent, applying a developer onto the opposite side of the tightened area, examining the surface and interpreting the results and the final cleaning, and allows the examination of the joints between the acrylic walls in order to detect discontinuities of material affecting the lightbox tightness. The claimed device allows the operator to rotate the lightbox with the view of having access to all the areas to be examined and it comprises a holder support plate (1), a holder (2), a handle (3) for rotation about an axis parallel to the floor whereon the device is mounted, a handle (4) for rotation about a vertical axis, a mating gear (5) for slewing in order to clean the lightbox and apply substances for examination and a profile structure (6) for clamping some vacuum cups (7).</p>
