PURPOSE: A multiple layer structure for a shift gear display is provided to improve marketability and visibility by limitingly implementing a function of a segment LED(Light Emitting Diode) and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) in a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A multiple layer structure for a shift gear display comprises a light guiding layer, text units(11a,12a), a PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(20), and a penetration lens. The light guiding layer comprises lower and upper light guiding layers(11,12), and a partition wall(30) preventing phase reflection of surrounding text units is included between the lower and upper light guiding layers. The text unit is formed in each light guiding layer, and the penetration lends guiding a penetration direction of the text unit is formed on an outer surface of the light guiding layer. The PCB is vertically arranged on one side surface of the light guiding layer so that an LED(20a,20b) installed on the PCB lights from the side surface of the text unit.
