PURPOSE: A content reproduction device for controlling power of a surrounding device and a power control device thereof are provided to manage power of the surrounding device and power of the content reproduction device, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(270) generates a surrounding device power control signal in response to a control signal of a content reproduction device received from a communication unit(210). A power signal output unit(260) outputs the surrounding device power control signal. The control unit includes a main processor(271) and a sub-processor(272). When power supply for the main processor is interrupted, the sub-processor supplies power to the main processor based on data of the control signal.
