<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase speed and security in transaction processing in a self-service terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A customer utilizing a self-service terminal pre-stages a financial transaction with a financial service. Subsequently, the customer visits an SST, such as an ATM, and automatically acquires a code from the SST that is then sent to a mobile transaction service (which may be the same as the financial service) for verification and to identify the pre-staged financial transaction.
